Gretchen Deane is a skilled and compassionate practitioner with expansive experience and education in the equine industry. Each year she works in many areas of the U.S. with several hundred horses and at least a few dozen beautiful donkeys and mules. Gretchen is honored to work with a broad range of horse owners, including international clinicians and authors, FEI level riders and trainers, horsemanship experts, equine veterinarians, hoof care practitioners, and professional equine bodyworkers. Her previous work included riding, training, starting young horses, showing internationally, and learning from several winning Olympic riders and clinicians.
Gretchen is dedicated to learning from the horse, and has also completed extensive education in equine dentistry, bodywork, hoof care, horsemanship, and many healing modalities. She is a Certified Practitioner in Masterson Method® Integrated Equine Performance Bodywork, and has completed certification and continuing education with Spencer LaFlure’s school for Neuromuscular Horse Dentistry. Gretchen has advanced Reiki training and attunements through the John Harvey Gray Center for Reiki Healing, and is adept at perceiving subtle aspects of physical condition and communication with horses. Most recently she is excited to offer Horse Talk™ sessions, a creative endeavor to facilitate multidimensional communication in the horse-human relationship.
