Gretchen is a skilled and compassionate practitioner with many years of experience and education in the equine industry. She has trained and ridden with several winning Olympic riders and international clinicians. Gretchen’s previous work as a professional rider and trainer included great success in Showjumping, and a special focus on young and developing horses.
Gretchen moved to Vermont in 2015, and continues to pursue education and experiences that allow her to provide high value services for horses and equines. She is a Certified Practitioner in The Masterson Method® Integrated Equine Performance Bodywork, and a licensed practitioner through Spencer LaFlure’s school for Neuromuscular Horse Dentistry™. Gretchen also has Reiki training and attunements through the John Harvey Gray Center for Reiki Healing, and is adept at perceiving subtle aspects of physical condition and communication with horses.
Gretchen works with horses and equines of all breeds, disciplines, ages, and histories. She has been honored in the past several years to work with a broad range of horse owners, including international clinicians and authors, FEI level riders and trainers, horsemanship experts, equine veterinarians, hoof care practitioners, and professional equine bodyworkers. Gretchen enjoys teaching about Equine Dental Alignment, TMJs, and Whole Body Balance, and continuing to evolve her horsemanship practice both on the ground and from the horse’s back.
